Organizational
With no quorum present a vote to change bylaws to address FOBC’s
use of a Fiscal Sponsor and a vote to adopt new dues category
($100 Business level) was postponed
After discussion,
it was decided to compile and review a list of civic and other organizations
that FOBC might consider membership in and then rank their benefit/suitability
against budget constraints.
Project Manager’s Report
Mr. Gardin presented summary of activities since last meeting.
Brooklyn Centre Naturalists
At Mr. Gardin’s invitation, Ms. Gloria Ferris presented status
of BCN’s
efforts to have 44109 area become a Certified Wildlife Habitat Community,
one of the first in eastern US, under a National Wildlife Federation
program. She requested FOBC’s support to help achieve this in
2010. She also spoke of their application for a Re-Imaging Cleveland
grant to convert vacant city lots in the Brooklyn Centre area. BCN
might be featured program in FOBC’s Spring 2010 public meeting.
Miscellaneous
Mr. Gardin and Mr. Lincheck discussed how FOBC might apply for a CMAG
grant due Nov 20.
Mr. Gardin distributed new FOBC brochures among attendees and requested
that they be strategically distributed or placed.
